Embers with BTU that cannot be subdued. This took many turns, and left nothing untouched. Well done!

Loved this so much!

Hit me right in the heart. Something’s shifting for me, for us, the world. You can feel it, and this is the best ode to this exact happening. Can feel the fire. The transformation. It’s an amazing place to be, getting to a point where you begin to see, feel, then and honor all that you’ve always been yet barely noticed while playing so small to fit in, to survive the role given, walked into, or taken. So happy we’re connected. 🌟🌟🌟

The format is beyond impressive to me, the calling it provkes- i know of your magical ways already but still what it is to witness and read. Will catch up soon on more pieces because what I just experienced needs to happen more in my life. Youre the best, queen status, and you know that already though 😉 😘

That line about desire not being about wanting someone else, but wanting all of yourself, hit like an absolute lightning bolt - what an unapologetic, fierce celebration of stepping back into your own power ✨

Yes 🙌🏽 I love that line and it’s unapologetic truth! Thank you so much beautiful soul. So grateful it resonates.💜💫

Your piece reads less like a poem and more like an invocation. I appreciated that the fire isn't presented as destruction for its own sake, but as a force that burns away what no longer belongs. Whether readers interpret that fire psychologically, spiritually, or poetically, the central invitation remains the same: to stop living through borrowed identities. Thank you for sharing such an unapologetically intense voice.

Thank you so much, Antonio. It is definitely an invocation to remember, to return. Yes, it is to burn away all the identities that become an obstacle to out truth.💫

Ami, “the shape of small” gives this poem its most arresting image. You trace how pleasing, apology, silence, and the belief that love must be earned can gradually become limits carried inside the body. The repeated invitation to stay with the heat gives reclamation a physical force, allowing voice, appetite, and self-possession to return without requiring a polished resolution. Thank you for giving suppressed aliveness a language fierce enough to be felt.

One of my favourite lines, Rev. Thank you so much. As always your reflections add depth for me. Yes, we carry the energy within our cells. And amen to staying in the heat and allowing it to reveal only that which is real.💫

I fucking feel this fire and I am going go through it and burn through it all, that's a promise.

“This is what desire has always felt like. Not wanting someone else. Wanting all of yourself.”

That is the part people often misunderstand. We treat desire as appetite directed outward, when sometimes it is the body demanding the return of everything we exiled to remain acceptable: anger, sensuality, grief, ambition, voice, appetite, joy.

And the fire is not always destruction. Sometimes it is discernment. It burns away the life we performed from the life that was actually ours.

I know something about that exquisite terror of becoming too alive to fit back inside the life that was killing you. Once the body remembers its own scale, “small” stops feeling safe and starts feeling like suffocation.

Beautiful, fierce work.

This is a beautiful reflection. Thank you so much, Joe. This is the core of it for me, it is an inward devotion.

Yes 🙌🏽 small starts feeling suffocating, strangling the expansion.

I appreciate you.💫
