Invocation
Breath. Heat. Desire. Love. Fire.
I have become a woman who carries the full weight of her soul…
come closer.
I want you to feel what love can become inside a human being.
I have walked through grief like it was a cathedral.
I have kissed my own scars until they became part of the landscape
I have learned that breath is a prayer…
so…
breathe
with me…
slowly
Feel what happens when your heart has room to arrive…
can you feel it?
The heat…it rises from somewhere older than memory.
The heat of a woman who came home to herself
and discovered she had always been the fire.
I have loved with empty hands…
with trembling hands.
With hands that kept reaching towards life.
Now…these hands
hold galaxies…
They hold silence.
They hold tenderness.
They hold me.
Desire found me the moment I opened
every locked room inside myself…
Love found me there too.
There is a wildness inside me.
She kneels as easily as she roars.
She prays through her skin.
She laughs with her whole body.
She burns…
She is every woman I have ever been.
Every woman I carried.
Every woman who carried me.
If our souls meet…
come as you are.
Skin first…heart open.
Bring me your trembling.
Bring me your truth.
Bring me the places still waiting
to be touched by your own love.
I know the way.
Because I have become
the woman who turns breath into invocation…
Heat into remembrance.
Desire into devotion.
Love into a temple.
Fire…into home…
Look at me.
This is what remembering looks like…
Scared love and fire

Thank you for sharing this. The phrase "came home to herself" was the part that stayed with me. I think so many of us spend years searching for home in other people before realizing it's something we have to find within ourselves first. That felt very human to me.
Ami, “She kneels as easily as she roars” gives this invocation its living center, holding softness and force within the same reclaimed self. The locked rooms, trembling hands, scars, and breath make coming home feel embodied, earned, and communal across every woman carried within the speaker. Your invitation to bring truth and trembling suggests that intimacy begins when a person can meet their own interior life without abandonment. Grateful for the fire and vulnerability with which you made homecoming feel like a sacred act of self-recognition.
